However, devoting our lives to worthwhile actions, feelings and great thoughts is our choice. Choosing a sense of action that is worthwhile, focusing your thoughts on the important affections is an indescribable feeling that I personally wish upon everyone.

Now, sometimes situations which you would least expect turn out to be wonderful sources of inspiration.

Such situations, make us realise not to allow ourselves to be upset by small things we should despise and forget, but to focus on what really matters.

And what really matters is “Life”.

But isn’t it a shame that we humans often wait for sickness, tragedy or even death before we begin to get some real perspective.

Moving forward, when we find ourselves stuck in the same old pattern, is about helping ourselves to discover our incredible worth and uniqueness.

There are many ways of helping others. It could be by giving material goods or financial help. It could be lending a listening ear or just sitting beside the bed of someone sick. No matter the cause, we should help in our own unique way.

Remember, every good deed will not go unrewarded and as Jesus himself said:

“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives Him who sent me.”

I have recently received a reward that is truly an ‘Honour’ and would love to share with you. The following is a message that actually brought tears to my eyes….

Hi Marchi,

I am the President of the PNH Support Association of Australia and write to thank you for your kind support of our petition.

The name may sound fancy, but we are a tiny group of PNH patients trying to do whatever we can to get the Government to fund the only effective treatment for PNH.

The Association has a Facebook group page and we are promoting the petition online and on paper and so far have submitted 5500 signatures to Parliament. We are on track to submit a similar number again in about 2 weeks.

Thank you for including us in your blog and supporting me and the other 69 Australians with this debilitating disease.

Now, we know that woman has mastered beauty, elegance and class.

And Sandra Bullock has done just that….

Looking as gorgeous as always, Bullock received a standing ovation as she accepted the MTV Generation Award.

I specially liked the way she used her acceptance speech to clear up all the media rumours, or gossip if you like, involving her personal life. Sandra showed mix of self deprecating humour and much respect to her fellow actors.

And let us not forget the “big bang”….

Yes, I’m referring to that kiss with Scarlett Johansson, which in my opinion was very well delivered!! She used traditional feminine ideals with modern reality in a way that worked for her. She has now provided the media with a new headline….

A headline which has already received much attention from the world and yet has distracted us from her personal life.

Many women I know, have always dreamed of being mothers; I, on the other hand did not spent my youth mothering other children or even imagining I will be a mum one day. I had no idea what my future held but I was sure education and a career were part of the plan.

So to my surprise, I was quite taken by the feelings surrounding me after the birth of both my girls.

As a mother, I believe parenting is the most complex and demanding work.  Parenting does not have a destination and it is full of positive and negative, times of joy and exhilaration, also times of despair and complete unknowing.  It is an enormous responsibility, however, the most rewarding.

I continuously give my best to provide for my girls’ physical and emotional needs, to comfort and guide them.  Attitude, views, goals, perspective on life, I feel, depends on what they learn from both their father and I.

My girls did not come with a manual or set of instructions, however, in my case they did bring out the very best in me and most important the child in me.  They have certainly changed my attitude towards life and through them I have learned more about my self; so I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for making me feel like:

I, besides their father, am the most important and at certain times the only person in the world…. “As long as you’re here mum, we are happy.”

I’m the most beautiful, talented and smart woman, afterall who knows better!?…. “Mum, you’re lucky! You’re smart and beautiful at the same time.” Hmmmm!!!

I’m the sunshine that never fades away…. “Mum you keep the dark away.”

My eyes are their mirror…. “Oh my God mum, I can see my self in your eyes!”

I’m a hero in every shape or form…. “Don’t worry, Mum is here and she wouldn’t let anything happen to us.”

My love is a gift…. “Not interested in a big present mum. Your love is the best gir, but if you’re interested to know an iPod touch I wouln’t mind!!!!”

I’m not simply a working mother, but a working miracle….“I love my mum because she does everything for me and my sister and daddy and other people.”

My voice is the sweetest sound…. “I like when you read to me mum, you’re voice makes me fall asleep.”

When I kiss, my heart speaks…. “I like when mum gives me big kisses, because they show how much she loves me”.

My hugs are a safety net…. “Hug me mum, I’m scared!”.

I feel a mother’s love is the child’s net, but, a child’s love is the mother’s world…. her world!

Were would I bee without my family has never been my query, how would I be without my family has though!! My family is everything to me, my world itself, a world that I ardour… a world in which I am honored and delighted to be part of.
